Team Maccabi GB is poised for success with its 140-member delegation representing Team Great Britain. As the major team sports have been officially selected, our athletes and management are fully immersed in training. From basketball and futsal to football, tennis, table tennis, swimming, and chess (to name a few), the team is putting in dedicated effort both on and off the court or field.
Over the past month, we’ve conducted team training sessions while also hosting a social event for our dedicated managers and coaches. It’s essential to strike a balance between rigorous preparation and fostering camaraderie among our team members.
As we look ahead to the coming months, the event schedule will indeed be our primary focus. From coordinating orders and organizing matches to witnessing our athletes proudly clad in their “Team Great Britain” attire, these Games hold a cherished place in our hearts. We eagerly await the convergence of over 800 delegates from the Maccabi diaspora in London—a city where we’ll proudly showcase our exceptional sporting facilities and celebrate the rich tapestry of British Jewish history!
Since the introduction of our management applications in October 2023, we have received 56 sign-ups from applicants interested in various sporting positions. Currently, we are in the process of conducting interviews over the next 6-8 weeks. Additionally, on the 11th March, we will be launching our athlete applications into the database, with the goal of finalising selections by December 2024.
The organising committee has recently chosen their management attire, and we eagerly anticipate seeing them decked out in this fantastic merchandise.

We are thrilled to confirm that we have now selected 2 under 14 boys football squads to take to Houston this summer. Monthly training will start in earnest from Sunday 3rd March.
We would still like to take an U16 boys football squad, even if we were part of a mixed team with an American squad. Recruitment for this is running now with the final trial on Sunday 3rd March.
Meanwhile, tennis training is in progress as well.
