Preparations for the Maccabiah Games are well underway.
Recently, we hosted our first Management Training Session at our Kenton offices, attended by over 40 members of the management team. The session introduced Maccabi GB, covering our history, vision, and mission. Key operational topics were also addressed, including trial processes, first aid protocols, risk assessments, and other essential guidance to support effective session management.
To date, 200 athletes have been selected across the Junior, Open, and Masters categories, predominantly for team sports. In the New Year, our focus will shift to individual sports. Recruitment is ongoing for Rugby, Padel, Swimming, Athletics, and Table Tennis, with final selections expected in early 2025.
On the logistics side, multiple meetings have been held with Maccabi World Union to discuss accommodation, junior arrangements, and other key details. Participants are kept informed as new updates become available.
We are thrilled with the strong start to recruitment for the JCC Maccabi Games 2025.
Managers have already been selected for U13 and U15 football, tennis, and dance. However, we are still seeking a manager and coach for a second U13–U15 football squad.
This month, initial trials for tennis, swimming, and track and field took place, alongside junior Maccabiah athletes. Additionally, we have held two trials for U13–U15 football, as we plan to take two squads in this category. Final selection for football will be completed next month.
We also intend to field a U15–U17 football squad. It’s not too late to apply for all sports; athletes and managers can register via the following link: www.maccabigb.org/jccgames.
Our management team will join the Junior Maccabiah managers for training, with the first session scheduled for the beginning of next month.
