Maccabi GB Leadership Programme 2025: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders

enquiries5347

Maccabi GB’s Leadership Programme is back for 2025! We’re excited to welcome both new and returning participants from Years 10 to 13 as we launch this year’s cohort.

At Maccabi GB, we focus on creating diverse experiences and opportunities for all ages and abilities, both locally and internationally. Our Leadership programme lies at the heart of what we do, fostering a vibrant community of young athletes, educators, and self-developers.

This programme is designed for those involved in our International Games, as well as aspiring leaders, whether they aim to play, facilitate education, promote welfare, or develop their Jewish identity at a national or international level.

For 2025, we’re introducing the ‘Maccabi GB Leadership Membership’ to cater to the varying needs and goals of our participants. While we encourage full engagement with the programme, we understand that not everyone can commit to everything.

The programme this year includes a Residential Weekend, evening socials, volunteering opportunities across different community organisations, participation in Maccabi GB community events (including the flagship Maccabi GB Community Fun Run), a Krav Maga course, and much more!

The Leadership programme has a strong track record of nurturing future leaders within Maccabi GB and beyond. Alumni such as Eva Myers and Yonni Levy began their leadership journeys in 2019 and will take on leadership roles at both the Maccabiah and JCC Games this summer.

Yonni shared, “The Leadership programme helped mould me into who I am today. It allowed me to develop my leadership qualities, grow as a person, and make lifelong friends. It also gave me opportunities to become more involved in the Jewish community, from running sports sessions to being on the management team at both the Maccabiah and JCC Games.”

Eva added, “Leadership gave me the chance to develop essential soft skills through fun, tailored sessions and community integration. It’s unique in how it fostered a safe space to discuss important topics often overlooked in schools. The training and support I received made me excited to take on future management roles at the Maccabiah and JCC Games.”
