Peace of Mind

IDF veterans with physical injuries often receive world-class medical care. But for too long, those carrying invisible wounds—psychological and emotional trauma—have been left behind. Peace of Mind exists to ensure no veteran is forgotten.

Run by Metiv, Israel’s Psychotrauma Centre, Peace of Mind provides a structured, supportive process for IDF combat veterans. Over nine months, they reconnect with themselves and their unit, reflect on their experiences, and begin to rebuild.

At 6:29 a.m. on October 7th, 2023, young members of the Golani Brigade stationed on Israel’s border with Gaza went into action. They fought valiantly but suffered catastrophic losses. One hundred of their comrades were killed or injured in the first few hours alone.

The Golani Brigade has turned to Metiv and Peace of Mind, requesting support for 660 of the most deeply impacted young men—now veterans. In response, we are launching a specially adapted programme to meet their specific needs.

Funds raised from this charity run will directly support the Golani Project. Every pound you raise helps ensure these brave young veterans receive the support, connection, and peace of mind they deserve.
